About the Event
Please join us for an open house conversation, with Minister Sawhney to discuss the essential role of apprenticeship education and the skilled trades in rural communities like ours, and the opportunities that occupations in the skilled trades present.
This visit focuses on celebrating apprenticeship education and the skilled trades and their role in strengthening Alberta’s economy—now and into the future. It’ll be a great opportunity for local community members, employers, and organizations to hear directly from the Minister and connect with others who are passionate about growing Alberta’s skilled workforce.
Minister's Itinerary:
9:00-9:30am: Meet and greet at Senior’s Week pancake breakfast.
9:30-9:50am: Walk through library – meet patrons, staff and people receiving any services funded through the Community Adult Learning Program.
9:50-10:30am: Economic Development conversation with municipal leaders and local employers/Chamber of Commerce.
